Runway to Knowledge prepares children for public school through a full-time program built on a consistent daily routine, individual attention, and a calm, supportive environment. We develop the academic foundations, independence, and social confidence every child needs — so the first day of kindergarten feels familiar rather than daunting. Runway to Knowledge is a full-time (7am–5pm) trilingual preschool teaching in Russian, Ukrainian, and English. For families in Multnomah County, our preschool-prep program is entirely free through Preschool for All (PFA). We give every child a strong academic, social, and emotional foundation for a confident first day of public school.

Now enrolling for preschool prep
Enrollment is handled through the free Preschool for All (PFA) program run by Multnomah County. Follow the exact steps below — and if you get stuck at any point, call us at 503-422-8887 and we’ll finish it with you.
Check that your child qualifies
Your child must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1 and you must live in Multnomah County. Preschool for All is completely free — there is no income requirement and no cost to your family.
Gather what you’ll need
Have these ready before you start: your child’s full legal name and date of birth, and a phone number and email where we can reach you.
Open the PFA application
Go to pfa.multco.us and click “Apply.” Create an account with your email, then start a new application for the 2026–27 school year. You can save and return — you don’t have to finish in one sitting.
Fill in your child’s details
Enter your child’s name, birth date, and your home address exactly as they appear on your documents. Answer the family and language questions — be sure to note if your family speaks Russian or Ukrainian at home.
Choose Runway to Knowledge
On the provider selection page, search for and select “Runway to Knowledge” as your first-choice preschool. This is the step that matches your child to our program — don’t skip it. Then submit the application.
Wait to hear about your placement
After you submit, Preschool for All will review your application and confirm your child’s placement in about 1–2 weeks. Once your spot is confirmed, we’ll reach out to arrange a visit so you and your child can meet us before the first day.
